In 2023, I was honored as one of the Diversity Action Alliance’s Distinguished Communicators. This recognition highlights the exceptional communication skills and unique perspectives that each honoree brings to the forefront.

In a 2020 New York Times article, I shared my experience of moving to Harlem from Teaneck, New Jersey, to shorten my commute just before Covid-19 made New York ground zero. I noted that the 7 p.m. cheers for essential workers became a daily highlight during those isolated months.
